Now that you’re using premier loan origination and management software from your partner, Allied Business Systems, you can go one step further to help your borrower protect their financial information. Consider these tips:

1. Implement Automatic Session Timeouts

Automatic session timeouts can be helpful for those who forget to exit out of their private computer or worse – a public computer. A quick click into “settings” and a passerby could jot down sensitive financial information, unbeknownst to the user.

Set a time limit for inactivity for the windows user account. When that time has passed, log the user out of the account and send them a notification saying their session has ended. This can contribute to increased financial protection and peace of mind.

2. Require Strong Passwords & Security Questions

Capital letters, lowercase letters, numbers, symbols… require all of it. Unique passwords are more difficult for hackers to crack, and it can be the difference between compromised data and financial security.

For added measure, require the user to answer security questions that they chose when they first set up the windows user account. These pre-determined questions should be something that only they know to ensure a relative or stranger can’t guess it.

3. Remain Compliant

The financial industry demands that companies remain compliance to ensure the financial safety of everyone involved. With compliance ever-changing, it can be stressful to make sure your company is following the rules and regulations. Allied Business Systems can help assist you with getting and remaining compliant.

4. Audit, Audit, Audit!

You know the saying, “You can’t see the forest for the trees.” Sometimes, this is true regarding company policies and procedures. If you’ve been doing a task the same way for several years, it’s hard to see where the flaws are and how it can be better. We encourage you to participate in internal and external audits to eliminate weak points in your procedures. This can dramatically protect your borrower’s financial information.

Your loan origination and management software must work for you, NOT against you. We’re here to help with that: 800-727-7534.
